Almost every medical device is in direct contact with a body in one way or another. It is of out most importance that this contact adds to the efficiency without unwanted consequences. This could mean that the material surface must be protected not to be fouled by adsorbing proteins, or the complete opposite, that certain toxins should indeed adsorb for subsequent removal.
Medical technology embraces products as permanent implants, tools as syringes and catheters, instruments used for diagnosis or treatment.
We have worked with all kinds and through our in-house project OncoPulse® and the company Bioactive Polymers (owned partly by CR) we have a well-established and successful collaboration between us, the faculty of science and the university hospital.
In this field we have added innovation and new IP to our customers.
