In this case we did work for a patent firm that wanted a statement regarding the interaction between certain key ingredients used in pharmaceutical products.
It was important to know if the claims made could be made or if they were based on a general understanding of interaction mechanisms. We performed an experimental study designed by us in order to compare the formulation window of the same key ingredients in combination with various excipients.
This was a classical phase study which we are very well equipped to perform based on our background as physical chemists. We performed a thorough study and could produce an expert witness statement based on the experimental results in combination with our theoretical understanding of the underlying interactions. The statement was further used by the patent firm and we received many thanks for being efficient with our time as the situation was very urgent.
