Today, our senior project manager Maria Huffman had the honor to serve in the Thesis Committee of Gustav Nylund who defended his work “Studies of Nanowire Devices Enabled by Advanced Nanofabrication”. As Chairman of the Committee, Maria could earlier today announce that Gustav now has a PhD in Solid State Physics. Faculty opponent was Prof. Shadi Dayeh from University of California, San Diego and Gustav’s primary supervisor has been Prof. Lars Samuelson, Lund University.

The image is from Gustav Nylund’s thesis. It is a colorized scanning electron micrograph of a lateral single nanowire device with two contacts ad two semi-wrapped gates.
