Henrik Almqvist, our brewing bio-buddy, has a long experience of both analytical chemistry and biotechnology. He earned his PhD in chemical engineering from Lund University specializing in fermentation technology. More specifically biorefining of lignocellulose to produce platform chemicals for industrial biotechnology purposes such as production of biobased and biodegradable plastics.

Henrik has continued to enjoy the growing of microorganisms, now in the kitchen, while baking bread and brewing beer. Henrik is also an expert in analytical chemistry, especially liquid chromatography, which made him important for CR many times before we were happy to see him joining the company! Henrik’s ability to both create and think out of the box at the same time as he can structure data and present it with logic in context to be implemented is really something.
