Rana, our ever smiling and ever curious multi-everything team member!
Rana comes from a multidisciplinary background in Biomedical Engineering with a Master’s in Biotechnology. Her research interests spanned already pre-CR a wide range of topics, including biodegradation of plastic films, investigating salamanders’ regenerative abilities and their connection to the immune system, and optimizing culturing conditions for neuronal stem cells!
Outside the lab, she enjoys swimming, exploring new hobbies, and returning to old favorites like reading and photography.
As a third-culture kid, originally from Sudan, born and raised in Saudi Arabia, and now based in Sweden—she has developed high adaptability and cross-cultural communication skills that enable her to thrive in diverse environments and teams.
At CR we enjoy her strong contribution to the team spirit as well as her strong passion for learning, troubleshooting, and innovation, which she brings to all her projects.
